1. Webcam Data Usage
The core feature of StudyAnalyser is AI-powered presence detection. We want to be absolutely clear about how this works:
- Local Processing Only: Your webcam feed is analyzed locally on your device using TensorFlow.js.
- No Cloud Uploads: No video or image data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.
- Transient Analysis: We only calculate a numerical "score" (User Present/Away) in real-time. The video frames are immediately discarded.
2. Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:
- Account Information: Email and password (encrypted) for authentication.
- Session Metadata: Start time, end time, and total duration of your study sessions.
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage data (via Vercel Analytics) to help us improve site performance.
3. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage. Your data is stored securely in Supabase databases. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
